Q: What is Direct Deposit?
A: Direct Deposit is an electronic service that processes a person's payroll funds to be automatically credited his/her checking or savings account based on information provided by the member’s employer. Direct Deposit is very convenient because it saves you the time and hassle of making a “mad dash” to the credit union to make payroll deposits before the credit union closes. Your funds are available in your account on payday. And, the best part is, this service is free.

Q: What is Payroll Deduction?
A:
This is a method of deposit where your employer sends your full (net) payroll amount, or any portion of your net payroll, to the credit union. Vantage works with your employer to initiate your payroll deposit to arrive at the credit union in a timely manner. This service allows you to deposit various dollar amounts of your payroll into different account types (portion to savings, checking, loans, etc.). This service is also very convenient because it eliminates the need to run to a credit union branch to make payroll deposits. And, it's also free.

Q: How do I sign up for Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction?
A:
Ask your employer if they offer these services to employees. Then, find out which option they offer. To sign up with Vantage, all you need to do is complete the appropriate payroll form. Call

Q: What is AutoPay?
A:
AutoPay is a convenient way of making your monthly loan payments. With AutoPay, your loan payment is automatically deducted from your Vantage checking or Regular Savings account, or from another financial institution’s checking account. You have the choice of setting the payment up for the minimum monthly payment, a fixed dollar amount, or the balance in full. This convenient feature is available for all our loans. Plus, when you use AutoPay for a Vantage auto loan or Visa credit card, you receive a loan rate discount.

Q: What is Express Transfer?
A:
Express Transfer is a free service that enables you to make loan payments and deposits to your Vantage accounts electronically, by accessing your checking account at another financial institution.

Q: How do I know if the Express Transfer service is right for me?
A:
Express Transfer is designed for members who want the convenience of
Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction, but don’t have it because their employer doesn't offer the services.

Q: Can I make loan payments with Express Transfer?
A:
Yes. You can pay your Vantage loan(s) electronically by choosing the payment amount to transfer to your loan(s). Once per month, the same dollar amount automatically transfers and credits your loan balance.

Q: Can I make deposits with Express Transfer?
A:
Yes. You can deposit money into your Vantage account(s) once each month. The same dollar amount automatically transfers and debits your other financial institution’s checking account, and goes into the savings account option of your choosing.
